Account Management
This section explains how to manage your BlogTally account, from creation to deletion.
Creating Your Account
Visit blogtally.com/signup to create a new account.
BlogTally offers several ways to create and access your account:
Sign Up / Sign In with Google
The fastest way to get started is to use your Google account:
- Click "Continue with Google"
- Select your Google account
- Grant the necessary permissions
You'll receive a confirmation email to verify your address. Click the link in the email to activate your account.
Email Magic Link
You can also use your email address:
- Enter your email address
- Click "Send magic link"
- Check your inbox for the login link
- Click the link to access your account
Signing In
To sign in to your existing account:
- Go to blogtally.com/login
- Choose your preferred login method:
- Google: Click "Continue with Google" and select your account
- Email: Enter your email address and click "Send magic link"
- Click "Sign In"
Profile Management
Once logged in, you can check your profile settings at blogtally.com/settings:
Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the settings page:
- Go to Settings > Account
- Scroll to the bottom
- Click "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When you delete your account:
- Your account and personal information are permanently removed
- All your data is deleted within 30 days
- Any active subscriptions are cancelled
- Deletion is irreversible - you'll need to create a new account if you want to use BlogTally again
Data Retention
For legal and operational purposes:
- Analytics data is retained for 30 days after account deletion
- Basic account information (email, signup date) is kept in encrypted backups for 30 days
- Financial records (if any) are retained as required by law
